Wavelength spacing in DWDM channels 50GHZ 100GHZ 200GHZ
ITU-T defines two DWDM system, 40 channels with band gap 100GHz and 80 channels with band gap 50GHz.
λ=c/f
If f1=192.10THz,λ1=1560.61nm
If f2=192.20THz,λ2=1559.79nm
If f3=192.30THz,λ3=1558.98nm
If f4=192.40THz,λ3=1558.17nm
λ1-λ2=1560.61nm-1559.79nm=0.82nm
λ2-λ3=1559.79nm-1558.98nm=0.81nm
λ3-λ4=1558.98nm-1558.17nm=0.81nm
So, for 100GHz, the wavelength spacing is 0.8nm approx.
Similarly, for 50GHz, the wavelength spacing is 0.4nm approx.
Similarly, for 200GHz, the wavelength spacing is 1.6nm approx.
