Different QSFP SR BD

The QSFP-40G-SR-BD provides customers with a compelling solution to leverage their existing duplex MMF multimode cabling to upgrade to 40G Ethernet connectivity. QSFP-40G-SR-BD can transmit link lengths of 100 meters and 150 meters on OM3 and OM4 multimode optical fibers respectively.

QSFP-40G-SR-BD consists of two 20 Gbps transmit and receive channels in the 832nm-918nm wavelength range, which are multiplexed onto one optical fiber through built-in WDM to achieve an aggregated 40 Gbps link.

QSFP SR4 is composed of 4 channels of transmitting and 4 channels of receiving. It is transmitted through the MPO interface 8-core or 12-core optical fiber. It cannot use the existing 2-core multi-mode optical fiber wiring and needs to rewire the MPO 12-core optical cable.
